The Barn at Yew Tree Farm
This was my first time to the newly opened Barn at Yew Tree Farm (thebarnatyewtreefarm.co.uk). I’ve been to the farm for coffee and breakfast plenty of times, but wasn’t aware they were looking to renovate the barn for weddings and events. It’s absolutely brilliant!! It looks stunning, and they’ve utilised the space excellently. It’s the perfect size for an intimate wedding like Nathan and Emily’s!
Not only are the function spaces stunning inside, the farms grounds are really picturesque and offer good backdrops for photos - particularly the wild flower mound beyond the farm!
I’ve really enjoyed lockdown weddings! Smaller numbers means more time everyone gets to spend together! It also means that the people at the wedding are particularly close to those getting married! I love how much more relaxed it all feels! Means everyone - especially the couple - can chill a bit.
Both Nathan and Emily seemed completely relaxed the whole time (I’m pretty sure Emily is one of (if not the most) chilled brides I’ve worked with!). It was great getting to spend some time with them as we took photos with their dog! He was boss! Really calm, dead obedient, and it’s clear how much they all love each other! It helped he was happy to pose for photos too because he’s also dead photogenic! He smashed the role of ring-bearer!
Here’s a selection of images from the day…
